Election signage regulations

The City of Airdrie’s Land Use Bylaw  governs election signs in order to ensure that public safety is maintained on City roadways (eliminating distractions) and to protect our community’s natural beauty.

Candidates are required to follow the Bylaw and it is in their best interests to do so in order to minimize conflicts with residents and avoid fines.

Permitted duration

Election signage can go up 60 days prior to Election Day, and must be removed three days after Election Day. Candidates must ensure they know where they placed all signs so they can be removed by the deadline to avoid any penalties.
