Skate with Santa at Genesis Place
Skate with Santa at Genesis Place
We'll be decking the arena with holiday spirit for you to skate into some festive cheer. Join us, as Santa makes a stop at Genesis Place and takes to the ice for a free public skating event! Families are encouraged to bring their camera and pause for pictures with Santa on the ice.

Free
Limited free skate rentals will be available on a first come basis. We recommend bringing your own skates as they are required for on-ice participation. Public skating safety guidelines apply. Canadian Standards Association (CSA) helmets are highly recommended for all skaters. Helmets must be worn by all on-ice participants aged 12 and under. CSA approved skate aids are permitted. Hockey sticks and pucks are not permitted.

Equipment
- CSA (Canadian Standards Association) helmets are highly recommended for all skaters. Helmets must be worn by all skaters 12 years and under.
- All participants must wear skates while on the ice surface.
- City provided and CSA approved skate aids are permitted during public and Parent & Tot skating.
- Hockey sticks and pucks are not permitted during public skate times.
Behaviour
- Immediately report all accidents or injuries to an arena staff member.
- Participants displaying unacceptable behaviour such as excessive speed, horseplay or foul language, will be asked to leave.
- Please refrain from carrying children on shoulders or in arms while skating.
- No food or drink on the ice surface.
