Visit a playground

The City of Airdrie maintains 79 playgrounds located within city parks or on some school sites.

Our playgrounds are intended to help children develop physical coordination, strength and flexibility as well as providing free recreation and enjoyment. In many cases, they are both challenging and stimulating. Playgrounds are among the most important environment for childhood development outside of the home and are a valued asset in a park.

The City's playgrounds are designed for children anywhere from the ages of 2-12. The majority of our playgrounds are geared to the 5-12 year old category. Some sites also include structures designed for the 2-5 year old range.
