Visit a playground

The City of Airdrie maintains 84 playgrounds located within city parks or on some school sites.

Our playgrounds are intended to help children develop physical coordination, strength and flexibility as well as providing free recreation and enjoyment. In many cases, they are both challenging and stimulating. Playgrounds are among the most important environment for childhood development outside of the home and are a valued asset in a park.

The City's playgrounds are designed for children anywhere from the ages of 2-12. The majority of our playgrounds are geared to children 5-12 years old with some playgrounds including structures designed for 2-5 year olds.

The following playgrounds will be closed as they undergo  replacement:

1220 Bayside Rise SW

62 Creek Springs Rd NW

50 Ridgebrook Dr SW

The estimated start date is Sept. 6, 2023 and will take approximately two weeks to complete (weather pending).
