The City of Airdrie maintains 90 playgrounds across its parks and school sites.
These spaces support children’s development by promoting physical coordination, strength, flexibility, while providing free opportunities for play and recreation. Many playgrounds are designed to be both challenging and engaging, making them an important environment for childhood growth outside the home.
City playgrounds are designed for children between two and 12 years of age. The majority are geared toward ages five to 12, with select sites offering play structures suitable for children aged two to five.
