9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Git along little dogies! Haul down yer old household doohickeys—electronics, paint, aerosols and used oil—but keep it to a homestead’s worth, not the whole stampede!
Learn how to rig up a rain barrel, get the lowdown on pollinators, trade tales with some firefighters and snag yourself a few giveaways.
FREE hotdogs and popcorn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Airdrie Recycle Depot (21 East Lake Hill NE)
Accepted material:
- Paint
- Oil, oil jugs and oil filters
- Chemicals (bleach, cleaning supplies etc.) that are clearly labelled in sealed container, less than 20L.
- Aerosol cans (full or empty)
- Electronics including: audio-visual equipment, phones and wireless devices, gaming devices, small home appliances, lawn and garden tools (no gas), portable power tools, toys, and more. View full list of accepted electronics.
Note: residents can bring electronics and hazardous waste to the depot year-round.
Free Paper Shredding - Saturday, May 30
15 East Lake Hill NE (parking lot)
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residential paper shredding in partnership with Merlin Shredding.
- Remove all clips, binders, plastic sleeves and spiral spines.
- One banker box per resident.
- Residents only, no business use.
- Documents that contain personal information that could identify a person should be shredded. This includes material with a name, phone number, address, banking information or social insurance number.
- Manuals and school work can be recycled in your blue cart and artwork can be placed in the garbage.
