The City offers a memorial and commemoration program for those who want to honour a loved one, a cherished companion animal or a group or individual who has made a positive impact to the city.
Donors can enhance Airdrie’s parks, green spaces or pathways by contributing a bench or tree. Each donation includes a personalized bronze plaque. These memorial items become City-owned assets and are maintained by the Parks department.
For further information, or if you have questions, please contact us at 403.948.8400 or email us at parks@airdrie.ca. You may also find more information in the Memorial Policy P-MED-11-C

The City of Airdrie can appreciate the grief that encompasses the loss of a loved one. While a roadside memorial can be a place of healing for some, it also comes with safety concerns for vehicular traffic and pedestrains as they can distract motorists and impact the public's safety.
While roadside memorials are not permitted, consider planting a tree or donating a bench in their memory.
