Memorial program

The City of Airdrie offers individuals the ability to commemorate a loved one with our bench and tree memorial program. The contribution of these benches and trees may be placed in one of Airdrie's parks, open green spaces or along a pathway. Applications are reviewed with considerations for donor's preferred placement for the tree or bench.

The City currently offers a Community Builders Memorial Program and a Citizen Memorial Program.

Community Builders Memorial Program

This type of memorialization is intended for individuals who resided in Airdrie and contributed significantly to the community by being a leader, contributed to a lasting legacy in Airdrie, or served on Council or one of its boards, committees or commissions for no less than 15 years. For full details, please read the Memorial Policy GuidelineS (PDF).

This application must go through the Community Services Advisory Board for review, and a recommendation will be made to Council for recognition. Placement is reserved in the Community Builders Tree Grove located within Nose Creek Park.
