The City of Airdrie is legislated to collect and remit a fixed Education Tax amount from its property owners on behalf of the Province of Alberta. As it is set by the Province of Alberta, the City has no control over the amount of the Education Tax.
In the City of Airdrie both a public school district and a Roman Catholic separate school district exist. Property owners are are required to file a School Support Declaration form when a new property is acquired. This will determine which system your education tax dollars are alloted.
