Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is a partnership between the province, municipalities and Métis Settlements that develops locally driven preventive social initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities.
Airdrie participates in FCSS through its Airdrie FCSS initiative by offering funding and providing supports to local eligible social preventive programs.

Community Engagement Fund
The Community Engagement Fund is an annual grant (up to $10,000) available for organizations delivering preventative programs and services that address social needs in Airdrie.
Eligible organizations may apply for funding to support a wide range of volunteer activities. This includes the Delivery of Programs and Services, Community Events or Support the Operations of an Organization.
Youth Engagement Grant
The Youth Engagement Grant (up to $25,000) is offered to non-profit organizations supporting young people aged 12-24 in Airdrie that want to make a difference in their community.
Eligible organizations may apply for funding to support youth in a wide range of volunteer activities that directly benefit their community. This includes the Delivery of Programs and Services and Community Events.
Funding is available for established not-for-profit organizations to provide evidence-based preventive social service programs and initiatives that promote and enhance well-being among children, youth, families, and communities. The focus for funding proposals is on prevention to provide support to Airdrie residents at the earliest opportunity.
Applicants must be eligible under the Family and Community Support Services Act and Regulation. Preference will be given to volunteer not-for-profit organizations whose services are of a preventive nature, and that do one or more of the following:
