Indoor public skating is offered at three Airdrie facilities - Genesis Place Twin Arenas, Ron Ebbesen Twin Arenas and Plainsmen Arena. Public skating is free to attend. Schedule is subject to change.
Ron Ebbesen Twin Arenas will temporarily close for mid-life upgrades this March through early fall. These upgrades will help keep its ice surfaces in Airdrie's rink inventory for an additional 25 years, while improving accessibility to the facility.

Public skating
Public skating offers an all -ages, slow, non-competitive pace. All participants skate in one, continuous direction. Figure and power skating drills, high speeds and tag games are discouraged to provide a welcome environment for all skill levels.
14 & under family "pond" hockey
This program is for parents with youth aged 14 & under to play a non-competitive, no contact game of shinny. Slap shots are not permitted. Parents or guardian participation is encouraged but not required. Please note - private coaching and/or drills are not permitted. Please play and have fun!
Shinny ringette
Join a non-compeitive, no contact game of all-ages, ringette shinny.
Ice sledge hockey
A dedicated time for sledge hockey players to play in a non-competitive, no contact environment.
Eight & under stick and puck
For children eight years & younger to practice puck handling with a parent or guardian.
Adult (15+) shinny
Play a friendly game of shinny in a non-competitive and no contact environment. Hard or slap shots are not permitted.
Adult (18+) public skate
An adults (18+) only, slow, non-competitive skating pace. All participants skate in one, continuous direction. Figure and power skating drills, high speeds and tag games are discouraged to provide a welcome environment for all skill levels.
Parent & tots (six & under)
For parents or guardians to skate with kids (6 & under). Kids can carry a hockey stick as a balancing tool. Parents may not carry a stick. Pucks are not allowed.
