On April 15 the Airdrie Fire Department will begin their annual Spring Home Safety Program which includes firefighters going door to door in areas of the community, sharing vital fire and life safety information, as well as checking and installing smoke alarms and batteries where needed.
Residents living in the following areas will see fire trucks and fire fighters in their community Saturday April 15 to May 15 :
Alpine Cres SE, Albert Street SE, Acacia Dr SE and Acacia Cres SE
Big Hill Place SE, Big Hill Circle SE and Spring Dale Circle SE
Edendale Cres SE, Erin Drive SE, Easterbrook Place SE, Elsmore Place SE, and Elderwood Place SE
Fire crews will review the home safety checklists with residents which include alarms, escape planning, home, basement and garage safety
The Home Safety Program is sponsored by Conoco Phillips. Watch for crews in your community!!
The Airdrie Fire Department (AFD) offers a variety of public education programs, information and safety resources to help increase awareness of fire prevention and safety.
Students, clubs, associations and citizens are invited to book educational tours, presentations and public education events with the Airdrie Fire Department. During public events, participants have the opportunity to meet the dedicated men and women of the Airdrie Fire Department, learn important fire and life safety information, see the fire halls and firefighting equipment and apparatus.
