A Certificate of Compliance is written confirmation from the City that development on a property meets the regulations of the Land use bylaw. Lawyers and lending institutions need compliance certificates to protect their clients’ investments. Standard real estate purchase contracts often require the vendor to obtain a stamp of compliance.
You can now apply for a Certificate of Compliance through myAIRDRIE. To avoid delays in your real estate transaction, apply as soon as you’ve decided to sell your property.
The City will review your RPR to ensure it meets the regulations of the Land Use Bylaw. Once the review is complete, you can download the stamped RPR directly from your myAIRDRIE account. The City does not stamp paper copies. All compliance stamps are issued digitally and emailed or made available for download.
The City of Airdrie Compliance and Encroachment Policy is currently under review.
