Book an outdoor sports field
The City of Airdrie has many outdoor soccer and sport or athletic fields available for community and organized sport use. Fields are open for play on a first-come basis outside of formal bookings.
Booking for league play or a regular recurring spot
If you are organizing league play or want to book fields on a regular basis, bookings will require:
- A certificate of insurance with a minimum liability of two million dollars with the City of Airdrie noted as an 'Additional Insured.'
- A signed agreement. Once insurance is provided, an agreement will be generated and submitted to the organizer for signature. The organizer or a delegate, must have a copy of the signed agreement on them at all times.

Rental request deadlines
- Fall/winter (Sept.1 to March 31) requests are due by email to rentals@airdrie.ca by May. 15.
- Spring (April 1 to June 30) and summer (July 1 - Aug. 31) requests are due by email to rentals@airdrie.ca by Dec.15.
Outdoor sports field rental fees
Rental fees as of May. 1, 2025. Fees are set by the User Fees and Charges Bylaw (pdf) and are subject to GST.

Ed Eggerer Athletic Park (track and field)

Rental Requests
- Ed Eggerer Athletic Park will be closed for the season starting November 22, 2025 and will re-open March 15, 2026 (weather dependent)
- Fall/winter (Sept.1 to March 31) requests are due by email to rentals@airdrie.ca by May. 15.

Snow Removal Athletic Turf Field
- Snow clearing may be accommodated for game play (weather dependent)
Sport field allocation and rental policy
Outdoor sport field rentals are accommodated according to the Outdoor Sports Field Allocation and Rental Policy (PDF) for sport user groups.
The policy establishes a consistent and transparent allocation process for City outdoor recreation facilities and amenities.
