There are several communal fire pits located in city parks throughout Airdrie, thanks to contributions from local businesses and scouts groups. Fire pits are available by reservation. Organizers are responsible for supplying their own firewood and water to extinguish the fire and must remove the debris left behind in and around the fire pit.
Keys are required to access reserved fire pits. A refundable $40 deposit is needed to secure a reservation. Deposits may be paid by credit card or cash and are processed during key pick up and drop-off at Genesis Place Customer Service, 800 East Lake Boulevard NE, Airdrie.
Small, open-grate, picnic-style barbecues are located in Bowen Park (Reunion GW & Reunion Blvd) and are available for residents to enjoy on a first-come basis.
