AIRDRIE, AB – A portion of Main Street will be closed (between the Lutheran Church of the Master and just south of ATB Financial), on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. to host the 15th annual airdrieFEST street festival outside of City Hall in Downtown Airdrie. For vehicles travelling south on Main Street, the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Urgent Care Centre at 604 Main St. SE can be accessed from Albert St. SE via Centre Av. E. Signage will be in place for the detoured access. Vehicles travelling north on Main Street can access the Urgent Care Centre as usual.
There will be an overnight parking ban in some portions of the Towerlane Mall parking lot starting Sept. 5, 2025, at 6 p.m. till 6 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2025. Overnight parking will be unavailable in the TD Bank parking lot, as well as the storefront parking starting at Main Street BBQ till the City Center Animal Hospital and Dollarama. The event will be opened with speeches and a small ceremony at 11 a.m. on the main stage. This year's airdrieFEST will feature over 150 local vendors, local artists and artisans, entertainment and food trucks.
Attendees will enjoy live entertainment throughout the day, children’s activities, food trucks and vendors along City Hall and Airdrie Public Library, and additional vendors and entertainment in the Towerlane Mall parking lot. There will also be an artisan market with handmade goods and products, Music on Main Street Music Festival for attendees to enjoy along with airdrieFEST.
A free event shuttle through Airdrie Transit is available from certain parking locations. Event parking is not available on site with the exception of limited accessible parking at Inspire. Biking, walking, use of e-scooters or ridesharing to the event is encouraged.
