City of Airdrie prepares for the 2025 Municipal Election

AIRDRIE, AB – The City of Airdrie is reminding residents that the 2025 Municipal Election is on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, and eligible voters can have their say in shaping the future of our community.

Advance Vote
There will be 13 days of Advance Vote with early morning and late-night options to ensure residents have flexibility in casting their ballots. Residents can plan ahead to cast their vote at any voting station from Oct. 6 - 17, 2025.

  • Oct. 6-10, 2025, 4:30 – 10 p.m. (late night option): Vote at City Hall, 400 Main Street SE, Airdrie
  • Oct. 8, 11, 14 and 16, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Vote at the Town and Country Centre, 275 Jensen Drive NE, Airdrie
  • Oct. 14 – 17, 2025, 6:30 a.m. 2 p.m. (early morning option): Vote at City Hall, 400 Main Street SE, Airdrie

Election Day
Election Day is on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025. Polls will be open from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and residents will need to vote at their designated zone-based voting station. Visit the map on airdrie.ca/wheretovote to find the assigned voting station based on your zone.

“Every vote truly makes a difference in shaping our city,” said Charlotte Satink, Returning Officer for the City of Airdrie. “The Mayor and Council make decisions that affect everything from roads and recreation facilities to community programs and growth planning. When you cast your ballot, you are helping decide the direction of Airdrie’s future. We encourage all eligible residents to make their voices heard and to go vote!”

Nominated candidates
Nomination Day has concluded, and the official list of candidates is now available. Residents will be voting vote one Mayor, six Councillors and three Public School Trustees. Visit airdrie.ca/candidates to find out who is running and read about their priorities.

The City reminds candidates and residents that election signs must follow the Land Use Bylaw. Signs may only be placed in designated areas, must not impede traffic sightlines and must be removed by Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, to avoid penalties. For complaints regarding election sign placements, please make a bylaw complaint at 403.948.8888. For reporting a criminal activity like vandalism, theft, unauthorized removal etc. related to election signage, please contact the RCMP directly. Visit airdrie.ca/election-signage for more details.
