Key Concepts in Bullying Prevention in the Community

Join us for Key Concepts in Bullying Prevention in the Community with expert Dr. Daniel Gulchak. 

This workshop focuses on understanding bullying behaviours and awareness of the social impact. Participants will gain an understanding of the reinforcers that maintain socially aggressive behaviours, discuss how to positively impact bystander behaviour, and learn about a program that can interrupt bullying and teach adults to respond to impacted youth. This workshop is for parents, community members and community groups.

Dr. Daniel Gulchak is a dedicated educator, researcher, and advocate for positive behaviour support in school and the community.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gulchak has impacted education at multiple levels. He has taught in K-12 schools, undergraduate and graduate students at two universities, and has authored four books on Multi-Tiered Behaviour Support Systems and behaviour principles. As a co-founder of KOI Education, he has been instrumental in providing high-quality, evidence-based professional development services that lead to positive academic, behavioral, and social outcomes for youth. He earns his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba, and his doctorate from Arizona State University.

Dr. Gulchak is honoured to partner with the City of Airdrie and has been working with our city and community groups for the past two years. We are thrilled to have him share his expertise and insights once again.
