Proposed Amendment to the Land Use Bylaw

This public hearing is for any affected Airdrie resident to comment on proposed Bylaw No. B-37/2022 being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw B-01/2016 as follows:

  1. Amend Section 9.2 by adding a new Direct Control District - Direct Control Bylaw (DC-50) District
  2. Amend Section 8.1 (3) (Land Use Map) by redistricting 77.87 ha (192.42 ac) of land legally described as a portion of NE ¼ Section 14, Township 27, Range 1, Meridian W5M and a portion of NW ¼ Section 14, Township 27, Range 1, Meridian W5M from AG, General Agriculture District and F, Rural Farmstead District to Direct Control Bylaw (DC-50) District, R1-U, Urban Standard Residential District, R3, Low-Rise Multifamily Residential District; M2, Community Mixed Use District; C1, Neighbourhood Commercial District; EP, Environmental Protection District; and P-1, Public Open Space District.

The proposed amendment applies to lands within the Sawgrass Park NSP area.
