Proposed Amendment to Land Use Bylaw

This public hearing is to provide an opportunity for Airdrie residents who may be impacted to comment on proposed Bylaw No. B-08/2023 being a bylaw to amend Land Use Bylaw B-01/2016 as follows:

1. The amendment seeks to permit the use of Semi-Detached Dwellings on a specific site located at 510 Reynolds Ave SW (Lot 1, Block 39, Plan 2210892) within the R4, Mid-Rise Multifamily Residential District. Currently the Land Use Bylaw does not allow semi-detached units in the R4 District.

The vacant site is located at the corner of Coopers Boulevard and Reynolds Avenue, a total of 7.4 acres. This amendment would allow for the construction of semi-detached bungalows to market these homes to seniors or smaller households that are looking for an option of no stairs.
