AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – The City of Airdrie is responding to extreme cold weather with supports and resources for vulnerable and unsheltered residents during the ongoing -20 degrees celsius and below temperatures in the coming few weeks.
Unsheltered residents of Airdrie are encouraged to utilize these supports and resources.
Warming spaces
These community spaces will be open to welcome anyone in the community needing a warm and safe place during their regular business hours in the upcoming extreme cold weather conditions.
Airdrie Transit
The City of Airdrie Transit will ensure that during this extreme cold weather event, all residents anywhere along their transit routes remain safe and be provided transportation options to access various programs and services or other warm, safe environments. Extreme cold weather information and social support services
