Property Assessments released January 15

AIRDRIE, AB – The City of Airdrie released the 2024 property assessments January 15, 2024. Watch for yours arriving online or through the mail next week.

“Assessments are based on market conditions as of July 1, 2023. We’ve seen another year of growth in the residential market,” said Valerie Cottreau, City Assessor."  Alberta has an affordable housing market relative to other provinces. Continued growth in Airdrie’s housing prices was mainly driven by record breaking interprovincial migration.”

Across Alberta there has been an increase in the housing market, resulting in property value increases. Airdrie is no exception. There has been an increased demand for suburban housing as our residential market continues a steady growth pattern. The non-residential market has also seen increases, especially in the industrial market.

The Assessment department looks at Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and other technology during their sales investigation to get the most accurate information. Assessment information, along with community-specific trends, and comparable properties can be found at WWW.AIRDRIE.CA/PROPERTYASSESSMENTVIEWER.

If there are discrepancies with the information that Assessment has on file, property owners are encouraged to complete an online verification form or call the Assessment department at 403.948.8855.

Property owners have until March 25 to request an assessment value review. After that date, the tax rate bylaw process will begin, and property taxes will be evenly distributed based on assessment values.

Residents can view their property assessment details on MYAIRDRIE.CA. Residents without an account can sign up at using the web code provided on their Assessment notice to link their property.
