Candidate profile: Dave Douglass

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a very hard worker, I don’t back down from a task and am very passionate about what I believe in and will fight tooth and nail for it. I am very passionate about our community and I believe in Airdrie's future. This is why I have chosen to run for mayor of our great city.

I believe its not a job, but a privilege that comes with great humility, responsibility and the utmost respect for the title and the great people of Airdrie that live here. I believe in a full transparent City Hall with a full open door policy with all of its elected officials. I will sit down with any and all constituents and hear their concerns, thoughts and hopes for our city. Whether its a town hall meeting, event function, phone call, email or just a cup of coffee; I will be there to listen and be a champion for the people and the city of Airdrie.

I am a husband, a father of three beautiful children, and a successful small business owner. We came to Airdrie in 2010 and we fell in love with this amazing city right away. This is where we grew our family, started our business and where we call our forever home. I have always believed that because Airdrie has given so much to us, we would use our business to give back to community and we support many local charities and organizations throughout out the year.

Now it's time to for me to really serve my community and make Airdrie the future for all of our children.
