How Anna Sadra Is Shaping Airdrie’s Wellness Community

For more than two decades, Anna Sadra has been a familiar name in Airdrie’s wellness community - and her newest chapter marks both a continuation and a transformation.

Anna’s journey began far from Alberta, in India, where a summer course in aesthetics sparked an early passion for helping people feel good. Despite her mother’s encouragement toward a corporate career, she never forgot that spark. After immigrating to Canada in 2000, she worked in human resources and later for an ultrasound machine company, but the work left her unfulfilled.

“I never felt content,” she says. “I just want people to feel good.”

Determined to return to her passion, Anna trained at Geneva Academy, became a registered massage therapist and ultimately earned her Doctor of Acupuncture designation in 2020. Over the next 20 years, she built a loyal client base in Airdrie under the name Anna’s Spa and Wellness.

 In March 2025, she opened a refreshed location with a new name - Anna’s Medi Spa - signaling her growth into advanced medical aesthetics, acupuncture, massage therapy and holistic skincare. Though the name changed, her roots didn’t. She has been part of the Airdrie community for many years and her new clinic further strengthens her long-standing connection to the city she continues to serve.

The new space also reflects her desire to support other entrepreneurs. Anna subleases rooms to fellow practitioners, transforming the clinic into a collaborative space where other wellness practitioners can build their businesses alongside her.

Anna’s Medi Spa is also a family endeavor. Her daughter, Himi, joined the business after leaving her job as a railway conductor, inspired in part by her own skin challenges from working outdoors. Together, they launched Anna’s USDA certified organic skincare line, Dr. A Dermacare, in April 2025 - a product line two years in development and rooted in natural ingredients like amla, a vitamin C rich fruit from India.

After living in Calgary for more than 20 years, Anna moved to Airdrie and is now proud to call it home.
“This town has given so much to me,” she says. “It was time to live where I work.”

Today, Anna’s Medi Spa represents her evolution: a family-run, community-rooted, wellness-focused space that supports clients - and fellow entrepreneurs - as they grow and heal.
