Tree chipping

Bring your real Christmas tree to the Recycle Depot, where it will be chipped into mulch for use in City parks.

Before dropping off trees:

• Remove all lights, ornaments and decorations. Broken holiday lights can be brought to the Recycle Depot to be recycled.
• No tree bags, branches, leaves or wreaths accepted.
• Artificial trees are not accepted but can be reused, donated or brought to the Transfer Site for disposal for a fee.

Annual drop-off dates:

• Dec. 27 – Jan. 31 at the Recycle Depot during regular business hours.
• After Jan. 31, real trees can be taken to the Transfer Site for free until the first Saturday in March.
