Garbage

Place items that will fit into your garbage bag. No loose waste. Bag cannot exceed 55lbs. Each household is allowed one garbage bag per week. Up to three additional bags can be placed with excess garbage tags attached. Excess garbage tags cost $3 each and can be purchased at City Hall, Recycle Depot, Genesis Place, Inspire, various grocery and pharmacy stores in Airdrie. Learn about Garbage

What goes in the blue recycling cart?

All items must be placed LOOSE in your recycling bin except for:

shredded paper - put into a securely tied clear bag before placing it in blue cart

Organic material that can break down in the City's eight week composting process.
