City of Airdrie launches new 311 service

For immediate release
March 24, 2026

Airdrie, AB – The City of Airdrie has launched Airdrie 311, a simple new way for residents to reach the City for non-emergency questions and service requests. This new service gives residents one easy to remember phone number to call when they need information, want to report an issue, or are unsure who to contact at the City. When dialling 311 from within Airdrie city limits, callers will reach the City of Airdrie. The City reminds residents to call 911 for emergencies.

“Our goal is to make getting support from the City simple,” said Mayor Heather Spearman. “When residents call 311, they are connecting with a team that is ready to help. Whether it is reporting a pothole, asking about waste collection, or learning about programs, 311 makes it easier for people to get the information they need, resulting in a better engaged community.”

This initiative supports the City’s commitment to improving customer experience and making services easier to access. Calls to 311 are directed to trained staff who help residents find the right information quickly. Being a new service, Airdrie 311 is at a development stage where if in case the customer experience staff do not have the information, calls may be redirected to the correct department. As Airdrie 311 grows, more services and information will be available at first point of contact to improve the overall experience.

The City can still be reached at 403.948.8800 or online at airdrie.ca for those who prefer existing channels for non-emergencies.

The launch of Airdrie 311 is part of a broader effort to enhance the customer experience and bring consistency to how residents interact with the City. “We know residents want clear, straightforward access to City services,” said Jackie Strangis, Team Leader for Customer Experience at the City of Airdrie. “Airdrie 311 is an important step toward improving that experience. The service is built to make one single point of contact, shorten response times and offer residents a more user-friendly way to request help on City-related matters.”

Airdrie 311 is now available to all Airdrie residents. The City will continue to enhance the service over time to support better tracking, improved response coordination and more streamlined communication with the community.
