Bag tags for excess waste

Excess waste tags are available for purchase if you have more garbage than fits in your cart.

• Up to three additional bags can be set out for collection.
• Each bag must have an excess waste tag attached and be place 0.5 metres away from carts.
• Bags must be no larger than 90 × 127 cm (35 × 50 in).
• Bags must weigh less than 20 kg (44 lbs).
• Some excess material can be reduced by making sure items are placed in the correct cart. For example, organic material, such as food scraps, yard waste, and pet waste belong in the green cart, while recyclable items go in the blue cart.
