The Airdrie Animal Services Centre is the City of Airdrie’s new, City-owned facility dedicated to supporting lost and stray animals in our community. Operated by Airdrie Municipal Enforcement, the Centre serves as the City’s pound, providing safe, short-term care for animals while working to reunite them with their owners as quickly as possible.
The Airdrie Animal Services Centre is open to the public. Residents are able to reclaim animals, purchase animal licences and drop off stray animals at the Centre during regular business hours. For assistance outside of regular business hours, please call Municipal Enforcement at 403.948.8888 for assistance.
Airdrie Animal Services Centre is part of a long-term, hybrid animal care model designed to provide stability, consistency, and high standards of care as Airdrie continues to grow. The City manages intake and temporary care, while partnering with local, non-profit third-party organizations to deliver shelter services from the same location.
By combining municipal oversight with community partnerships, the Airdrie Animal Services Centre ensures lost and stray animals receive appropriate care at every stage - from intake to reunification - while giving residents a clear, reliable place to turn when an animal needs help.
