Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP)

Airdrie's CEIP offers property owners a unique opportunity to make their homes more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly.

CEIP features

The program provides affordable financing for up to 100% of the cost of energy-saving upgrades, such as solar panels, insulation and HVAC systems, which can be repaid conveniently through property taxes (if you decide to sell your property, you can pay off the balance without penalty or leave the remaining balance with the property tax bill). 

  • 2.75% fixed interest rate to a maximum term of 25 years with the option to repay in full anytime, without penalty.
  • Various City of Airdrie rebates are available up to a total of $3,100, which include:
    • Project rebate of $600 available for completed projects.
    • Upgrade combination rebate of an additional $2,500 for completed projects with a financed cost of $15,000 or more, that install three or more upgrades in at least two of the following categories: energy efficiency, renewable energy or fuel switching. 
    • Rebates are available to the first 250 applications
