Newcomer bus tours

Airdrie Transit is offering the Newcomer Bus Tour program to help residents who are new to Airdrie become familiar with City services and community spaces. Each tour follows a set route and includes stops at City facilities, with information about transit, recreation, events and culture, community supports and other City services.

Tours are intended for groups of 10 to 25 participants, including children, staff, interpreters and support people.
Submit your request at least four weeks before the preferred tour date.
Tours are generally available on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and last approximately two hours.
Pick-up and drop-offs are at an address approved by Airdrie Transit.

Tour information and responsibilities

I understand that the City of Airdrie will be providing a bus and a bus driver for the purpose of transportation for this tour and that a City staff member will be providing a guided tour in English. Groups are responsible for arranging interpretation if language support is needed.

I understand the group organizer, or a designated staff member or volunteer, must accompany the group for the full tour and they are responsible for ensuring only registered group members participate in the tour.

I understand food is not permitted on the bus.

I understand Airdrie Transit may cancel, reschedule, or adjust a tour due to weather, staffing, vehicle availability, facility availability, service disruptions or other operational needs.
