Proposed Amendment to the Spring Valley Neighbourhood Structure Plan Amendment (NSP)

Bylaw No. B-30/2026 is to amend the Spring Valley NSP, which is bounded by Range Road 291 to the west and located north of Yankee Valley Estates. The subject land is legally described as SW-12 27-29-4 (271064 & 271052 RANGE ROAD 291 NE). The NSP was adopted on August 21, 2023, under Bylaw No. B-23/2023. The NSP is within the East Points Community Area Structure Plan (CASP).

The proposed text amendment includes removal of “Policy 7.3.1: Overhead power lines adjacent to residential and Institutional/open space uses shall be buried at the Developer's expense.” The NSP amendment would allow the existing power lines along RR291 to remain overhead. This public hearing is for any affected Airdrie resident to comment on proposed Bylaw No. B-30/2026
